From the beginning he was very clear about what he would give and what he expected in return. The thought of tracking my nutrition was a bit daunting at first (but only because I knew what it would show) but it is amazing how quickly you notice where you are going wrong.
Their nutritional knowledge is incredible (they really do need to get out more) they do all the work in that area so you don’t really have to think about it and no calculator is required either which is brilliant. They will never tell you can’t eat something but will work with you to build it into your diet in a controlled and sensible way, ideal for me with my liking for wine!
Training with Healthy by Science was again, a very different experience for me. The focus is on technique and staying injury free (there is a science behind what they do but I’ve never got my head around it – sorry guys!). Again, they will work with you to make sure you enjoy the sessions and are happy with them. You will increase the weight and intensity only when they are happy that you are performing the moves in the correct way, as someone who has suffered a few injuries due to poor tuition this was a pleasant change.
I lost a lot of weight with Health by Science which is a brilliant result for me, but more than that I feel they have given me the knowledge and structure to carry on alone but know that should I need a wee reminder of anything they will help me out.
In summary, they’re bloody brilliant at everything they do and are incredibly easy to work with. If you are looking for a trainer that is serious about helping you achieve your goals you will struggle to find better than the guys at Health by Science. Before working with them I thought personal trainers were people that you paid to shout at your for an hour, they are so much more than that and I am delighted I was lucky enough to work with them.
